Day of CaringOUR WORK

On Wednesday, September 14, 2011 we held our 18th year of administering the Annual Day of Caring in Cambria and Somerset Counties.  Over 90 volunteers, representing more than 20 companies will be assisting various United Way funded and other area non-profit agencies on a wide variety of projects.  These volunteers will work directly with the agencies on projects that will not only benefit the agencies, but the people who rely on those agencies for services.  The United Way Day of Caring is the perfect opportunity for the volunteers to see, first hand, how their contributions help right here in our communities in addition to helping non-profit and program recipients accomplish tasks that otherwise may be out of reach.
