United Way and Organized Labor
United Way is proud to have a long-standing partnership with Organized Labor in Cambria and Somerset Counties.
Recognizing the vital importance of United Way programs and services to their members, their families and those in need, Organized Labor has actively supported United Way campaigns for many years. Union volunteers help with the annual campaign, special projects and are represented on the Board of Directors.
Working together, we ensure that union members and their families have access to a wide range of vital community services. Our partnership has proven its value and usefulness countless times, during work stoppages, unexpected family emergencies and other crises.
United Way funded services, programs and initiatives cover a broad variety of needs including food and holiday assistance, senior care, and after-school activities for children.
