Campaign
The heart and soul of our fundraising activities is our annual Campaign. The Campaign runs from mid-August through October. During the Campaign, volunteers visit businesses and organizations throughout Cambria and Somerset Counties presenting the United Way of the Laurel Highlands story to employee groups, and inspiring them to become a part of advancing the common good in their community.
The goal of the Campaign is to raise a significant amount of money to benefit the neediest in our community. Each year, hundreds of local businesses and their employees unite to conduct workplace campaigns, a critical component of the overall fundraising Campaign.
In addition to Workplace Campaigns, United Way of the Laurel Highlands also raises funds from retired professional individuals and others throughout our community. These generous folks may not have the opportunity to give through their workplaces, but they still believe in the values and mission of United Way of the Laurel Highlands.
Getting involved in the United Way Campaign is a chance to be part of the LIVE UNITED movement. It is an invitation to everyone to be part of the change. Together, united as one to positively impact the lives of all in our community, we are far stronger than we could ever be alone. In short, LIVE UNITED is about the power of unity.
