Dear United Way Advocate,
At the United Way of the Laurel Highlands, we know that these are challenging and uncertain times for many of us. Through our partner agencies, we support our neighbors in need of essential health and human services. Those services range from food, utilities, housing, quality preschool and childcare, home visiting programs, counseling services, and access to medical care.
Now more than ever, we recognize that more of our regions’ residents are feeling the pinch of COVID-19. In the coming months, we expect the demand for emergency financial assistance to increase substantially. To help meet this challenge and assure that the vital needs of residents in Cambria and Somerset counties are being met, we are starting an Emergency Impact Fund. All monies raised will go toward providing critical services.
In the coming weeks, we will get through this together by being kind, following health and wellbeing protocols, staying informed, and showing compassion for those who are deeply affected by this pandemic.
To support our campaign, simply visit www.uwlaurel.org/donate to make a gift online. Checks may be mailed to United Way of the Laurel Highlands, 422 Main Street, Suite 203, Johnstown, PA 15901. Please mark “Emergency Funding” on the memo line.
Whether you can give $2 or $200, your contribution will help us meet an unprecedented amount of human needs across the region. Thank you for your thoughtful consideration, and all the best wishes during these trying times, and for emerging as a stronger, healthier, and more resilient community.
