At the United Way of the Laurel Highlands, we know that these are challenging and uncertain times for many of us. Through our partner agencies, we support our neighbors in need of essential health and human services. Those services range from food, utilities, housing, quality preschool and childcare, home visiting programs, counseling services, and access to medical care.
Now more than ever, we recognize that more of our regions’ residents are feeling the pinch of COVID-19. In the coming months, we expect the demand for emergency financial assistance to increase substantially. To help meet this challenge and assure that the vital needs of residents in Cambria and Somerset counties are being met, we are starting an Emergency Impact Fund. All monies raised will go toward providing critical services.
Remember that our area 2-1-1 network can provide assistance with essential needs such as food, housing, childcare, and more. It will remain the centralized resource for all non-Coronavirus health and human services emergencies.
Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email our offices at admin@uwlaurel.org.
