As an employee of Somerset County you are able to directly support the United Way of the Laurel Highlands, and their mission to impact the lives of children, and families, within the community. The United Way of the Laurel Highlands, through its Enhanced Community Impact Model©, is dedicated to delivering measurable results and evidence-based outcomes in the key social change initiative areas of:

 

Somerset County employees now have the ability to directly impact the community they live in by donating to the United Way of the Laurel Highlands through this website. How to Pledge:

Located at the top of the page, you will see 4 different pledge buttons. Select the option that best fits how you would like to contribute to the United Way. On the following page, select the amount of your contribution. Please fill in the corresponding information as it applies to you. Then click "Confirm Contribution" to pledge your donation!

Pledging at a Leadership Level:

Level of support to the United Way of the Laurel Highlands varies based upon the good will of each contributor. Individuals who pledge $600, or more, will join a diverse group of loyal United Way supporters. Based on the level of support, a Leadership Level will be assigned to each contributor. New Leadership Levels at the United Way are as follows: 

Women United Recognition:

All female donors who pledge at the level of $600, or more, will be considered a member of the Women United(WU) affinity group of the United Way. This amazing group of women support Early Childhood Development & Parental Engagement Initiatives of the United Way of the Laurel Highlands. The opportunity to join carries with it community appeal for those who wish to be on the forefront of community involvement in the area. WU supports United Way community priorities by helping to educate, engage, and empower families to excel, and promotes evidence-based programming through community interaction, communication, and fundraising.

**Can be combined with a spouse or partners' annual pledge to reach the $600, or more, level. 

30 Days of Giveaways Eligibility:

**To be eligible for the drawing, you must be a contributor to the United Way of the Laurel Highlands. You need not be present to win.

By pledging at least $180.00 for the year, to either the United Way, or a United Way Partner Agency, you will be automatically entered into our 2020-2021 30 Days of Giveaways Drawing. This year, starting on March 1, 2021 we will be raffling off one $500 gift card per day for the entire month of March. Winners will be notified in person on the day that the gift card is selected. All gift cards are sponsored by local business, companies, or organizations. 

Endowment & Planned Giving:

United Way has recently been working to further develop their Endowment & Planned Giving Initiative. This pillar of the 3 fundraising streams at the United Way allows individuals the benefit of leaving a legacy within the community that will continue to make progressive, efficient, and positive impact within the community.
