What is the United Way of the Laurel Highlands?

A volunteer-driven, community leading organization responsible for creating, expanding, and accelerating social change in Cambria & Somerset Counties. We invest in the futures of children, families and those in need. With the help of our donors we drive measurable results.

Core work

Parental Engagement: Increase parental knowledge of child development and care.
Early Childhood Development: Prepare all children socially, emotionally, and academically for kindergarten.
Youth Drug & Alcohol Prevention: Prevent substance abuse and promote healthy coping skills.

Diaper Bank

Our Diaper Bank serves families throughout Somerset and Cambria Counties. More than 6,975 diapers were distributed during the initial three months of this project, equalling 279 times a family was helped. More information here.
